First color work

I've been wanting to try Fair Isle and intarsia for a while now. Here it is, my first attempt:

So far, so good! I look forward to finish the little sheeps in white and see better if the tension is good. It seems fine, but it's hard to say when it's on the needles.

Time to go outside! It looks like it's going to be lovely day again!

  1. Oh my! I can't wait to follow along to see how it's going (taking advantage of a lovely day does come first though).

I've tried Fair Isle and intarsia but had no luck, I always end up with huge holes!
I look forward to seeing your progress!

  5. Blocking does wonderful things for intarsia. Looks lovely so far.

  6. If you tension does end up looking a little wonky, just remember that blocking makes color work a thousand times better.

  8. Work hard! It's difficult this fair island, don't you think? I have been trying with a little needle case and with a little purse. It was hard to find the correct tension for each threat of wool!!!
    Besitos.
